About the Teacher

My name is Denise Syslo. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia.  I have taught in
Georgia, Germany and Alabama. I am beginning my 25th year of teaching at Prattville Primary School.  I have been married to my husband, Rand, for
35 years.  He was an Area Vice-President, Global Business Operations for Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company and is now enjoying retirement.  We have two children, a daughter and a son.  Our
daughter and son both graduated from Prattville High School.  Our daughter, Ashley, graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in fashion
design and a minor in art. She received her masters in art education from UAB. She married Jeremiah Culwell in April 2011 and they live in Trussville,
Alabama. They have two children, Asher and Banks. Ryan graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in electrical engineering. He
married Andrea Prince in June 2011 and they live in Prattville. They have one daughter, Addie Kate and two sons, Lane and Nolan. We are proud grandparents! Our other
family member is a Yorkshire Terrier named Riley. Rand and I are members of First Baptist Church. 

Mission For The Class

It is the mission of Prattville Primary School to develop in our children a life-long love for learning by encouraging student performance within a safe
and nurturing environment, where children maximize their potential.
