Leader In Me
Our school, Prattville Primary School, is a Leader in Me School. As such, we are teaching our students how they can be LEADERS in the 21st century at school and at home by following the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. The 7 Habits are:
Habit 1: Be Proactive – You’re in Charge (be responsible, take initiative, have a good attitude, make good choices, do the right thing without being asked)
Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind – Have a Plan (plan ahead, set goals, be a good citizen, contribute to the school’s mission and vision)
Habit 3: Put First Things First – Work First, Then Play (set priorities, be organized, be disciplined)
Habit 4: Think Win-Win – Everyone Can Win (encourage others, solve conflicts, be considerate, be a bucket filler)
Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood - Listen Before you Talk (be a good listener, look at the speaker, be confident)
Habit 6: Synergize – Together is Better (help others, be humble, work well in teams, value others’ ideas and strengths)
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw - Balance Feels Best (eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, help others)
